Rope Swing (out of the way)?
« on: March 03, 2017, 08:22:28 PM »
My son is 5. He's interested in how ropes work. He's not so keen on climbing. He does love getting in harness at the gym and swinging. Can anyone think of an out of the way spot on the East Side that would be good for setting up a rope swing?

There are some spots at Disco Wall, except Disco Wall is way too crowded for those kinds of shenanigans. Maybe first 3 bolts of Hot Lava Lucy?

My grandson is 5, almost every time he has come out so far has involved swinging. At Castle it has been easy to find a steep section, Pinns a bit harder at some spots. Trees near climbs work. We did crack one of Yosomighty's twins' head fairly hard on one swing though, when he twisted around.

I can't think of any thing better than your idea. Good luck.

Causing trouble when not climbing.

My Grandfather had my Uncle put on up on his farm, the top of the rope was up high in a tree that was on a good slope.  We had so much fun on that thing.
