Little Si
« on: February 03, 2019, 10:49:34 PM »
Climbed at little Mount Si last weekend.  Good WA weather.  No climbing this weekend since it is snowing.

Nice. Always wanted to climb there, perhaps when it’s warmer we can share a rope.

was wet, could not top out.  About the only dry rock out there.  Wall 2 was dry but that is 12s and higher.  With the dampness felt colder than it was.  Forecast was for clear sky.

They are moving up here in April so I may have a climbing partner who wants to climb 12s with the occasional 11 thrown in for warm ups.

today he could snowmobile to the base.

Been there once many years ago just to hike with a friend from Akron when he was living in Redmond.
Pretty place with nice rock (wasn't climbing then).
His mom and brother lived on Whidbey Island so we got to check that out too.

Gotta agree with Munge on this one. Out of condition.

Maybe you should just become a Washington climber and get into ice climbing during this time of year?

Leaving the house this morning.  I heard rumor of an Ice flow nearby.  I got snow shoes trying to figure out if I should sell and just get ski's.

Being a Washington climber is realizing the conditions are never "in".

It’s not the pinnacles.

Can’t beat the pinnacles.......

So who is moving up there, Steve?

I haven't worked 5.12 in years. But I like that you thought it might be true. LOL

and yes, I'm seriously forked that I'm not riding "Rita" to the store to stock up for my fireside chat sessions.
