photo of Richard Leonard - at Pinnacles?
« on: April 24, 2007, 05:24:47 PM »
Ken posted this photo of Richard Leonard on supertopo, wondering if it might be at Pinnacles:

The background looks right, although I can't exactly place the formation.  It could be Old Original, or maybe the Hand or Monolith....

Any ideas?

Maybe The Heffalump, or in that area. The ridge in the background looks right. Well to the right of the Ignorable Cliffs (almost into Condor Gulch) are a set of cliffs with fracture lines like the ones in the photo. It would have this background, or close to it. Nothing says he is necessarily on what we consider an established line today, right?

My guess is that it is in the Delusion Overhang area. That could be some of the rock in that area. The hillside looks like it could have th trail running along the bottom there.
