I do, and I asked Mr Mud to take Friday off. However, our plan is bike on Friday and Sunday and climb at Pinns on Saturday. You are welcome to go with us. Or, are you headed to Yos? Wouldn't it be really really crowded on Memorial Day weekend?
Inch by inch, I will get there.

It's a busy weekend. Saturday I'm bottling wine in the am. Sunday I am fulfilling my marital duties and hiking 1/2 Dome with Jenny.

I was hoping to maybe dive or climb on Friday. We'll see.

good weekend for Valley usually, since everyone thinks all the climbs will be crowded they stay home.

not only that but the price of gas... means fewer SUVs and RVs on the road

still got tourons, but get off the valley floor and the pond scum is hardly visible

I don't have Friday off, but I'm not sure exactly what I'm doing this weekend... My only goals are to make it to Folsom on Sunday evening for a friend's birthday party/BBQ; and to do some climbing and biking. Maybe I'll hit up some of the Tahoe bouldering if it's not too obnoxiously crowded...

Good for you.   :)

Are you going to haul your camera all the way up?  Looking forward to some nice shots up there.

Is this the Diving Board?  I'm never clear on that one.

My understanding is the diving board is around the corner to the left.  It is part of a slab and it sticks out from the edge about five to six feet and is about 3 feet wide at the start.  It is directly above the NW Face so you have an unobstructed 1,500' view to the talas below.

Mr Mud is right. mudworm you are referring to the Visor. That's a nice shot. One of my friends took a great B&W picture of use there. It's great.

On the visor, there is that 8 foot long shard of granite that hikers dangle their feet off, while kicking off pebbles onto the face and climbers below. I always thought that would make a perfect diving board.. should global warming raise the sea level to about 8,800 feet MSL.

The Diving Board is on the right side of the face, where this picture was taken from:
