Close but no cigar
« on: October 05, 2008, 09:14:56 AM »

This is a cross post, since I met a few of you here I decided to post this.  Mixed biking and climbing content.

To celebrate my 50th year I planned to do 50 miles on a road bike, 50 kilometers on a  mountain bike and 50 short rock climbs (as all Ebbetts Pass climbs  are) in 50 hours around Bear Valley.  I did not get a chance this summer so I tried this last week.  Made the road bike, and the mountain bike, but time ran out at 41 climbs.  Shorter fall days and travel time between crags and running into old friends slowed things down a bit.  Got about 1800 ft or climbing in up to .10a I left the harder climbs alone. I always have next year.
