It Isn't Pinns, But...
« on: March 17, 2008, 06:51:32 PM »
Tricia and I had a fine day with Hope and her friend/fellow guide Jean at The Far Side. We saw four other climbers there! Highlights were:
1. The flowers are out in full force;
2. Tricia TRed the first half of a 5.8 and followed a 150' long 5.4 with no problem;
3. Brisk, icy cold winds that dropped altogether at The Far Side to give shorts weather;
4. I finally got to meet Norman Boles face to face (we've exchanged lots by email).

Yeah, that's her sister's down jacket. Wait until you've got two kids. Let one use the other's stuff and hear the squaking! Soon, though it will be a hand-me-down. Katie has grown one full inch in 2008 already! She's now taller than Hope.

HA, growing like a bean sprout eh? Well, if it's any conciliation....I remember the hand me downs with my brother when I was a youth. It sucked but heh, didn't make me a bad person and perhaps it built character!

I remember the hand me downs from MY brothers. I was a gray kid.
Inch by inch, I will get there.

Sqiddo: My only regret about hand-me-downs is a piece of clothing we lost. Robert got Katie a wonderful fleece top when she was six months old. It was grossly too big and we laughed about it. But it was a cool gesture, and she grew into it. It became one of her favorites. Would've been nice to hand down to the "T" girl, but it's lost now. Dam kids misplace everything (actually, that last phrase isn't me talking, it's me quoting my dad who was talking about me when I was that age).

Mudworm: Glad there's an "r" in that word (or Mr Mud might be well disappointed).
