Don't cry Uber. You are always invited. This was the first time we went for a ride after Downieville, and it was a spontaneous act. We felt bad that we stayed home two weekends in a row and had to do something.  Next time, we'll definitely shoot out an invite. Just be prepared for short notices.  :D
Inch by inch, I will get there.

I rode OLH yesterday 1/4 of the way through a 99 mile jaunt to Capitola and Santa Cruz... My time was 24:02, after going way too hard at the start! Soon, that record will go down!

FWIW, it took 4:21 to ride the 75 miles to the Santa Cruz city limit sign (from Joan's place in Sunnyvale, up Fremont to Foothill to Alpine to Portola to OLH to Skyline to 84 to 1). After that I got bogged down by signal lights and stop signs, otherwise the full century would have been well under 6 hours... All in all, a decent tempo workout for a Saturday. And then we took in a Shakespeare play (All's Well That Ends Well) at UCSC.
