Great job you two. Lots to be said for the High Sierra, moving fast on easier terrain. IMHO, good judgment on not going for the main goal. It'll be there next time.

We didn't see a cloud in 3 days (we did a family backpacking trip into the Emigrant Wilderness, up north near home), but the winds Sunday were unreal! Thirty miles an hour sustained with gusts to 45 or 50. By nightfall it was so cold we all went to bed at 8:15 just to stay warm.

Sound cool.  Only one thing.  I thought you were supposed to post here and cross post to supertaco.

Oh Mud, need to feel the love?  :-*

The same thread has received fourteen replies on ST. See what you did? All the "DIE" shouts scared people away, and only very few remained here only because they are die-hards.

Salad, some of the photos in your post do not show in my FireFox browser (but fine in IE browser). I remember it has happened before. Did you use backslash in some of those image paths?

Kudos to you and Uber for going back country. It takes a lot more, fitness, speed, tenacity, luck, and judgment. In front of bad luck (with weather), you guys made the right judgment.
Inch by inch, I will get there.

I thought it was honeymoon pictures of Salad and Ubber. Oh well.

And Brad IS alive. Guess Pinnacles season is getting near.
I'm not worthy.
