Last Great Pinnacles Problem(s)???
« on: December 26, 2011, 11:29:05 AM »
It seems like over the past few years, problem after problem has fallen.

1st it was that webbing in the middle of Machete Ridge blowing in the wind. Next thing you know Mungie and Mucci are lost up on Premeditated.

So what's next?

Will someone venture up the Pigeon aid crack free (yes Mr Mud it will go free)??

Premuditated had been done before a couple times.

What about Belizzi's Resurection Wall route? That aid eliminated yet?

True, true. It would be interesting to at least aid up it a ways to have a look see.

Well Mungie, you guys made it hip to go up there.

You have no clue how crazy Pinnacles is going to get in the next ten years. I've got a line picked out that will change everything. I think its on Squarecock rock or something like that. I still haven't figured out the name, it has routes on it, but that is irrelevant. It's going to be the most psychologically and logistically committing route in Pinnacles. That said, how long do the bolts have to be if no one will ever climb our route again?

the bolts have to be long enough to hold a fall.

We want pics.

I'm pretty light so I am hoping to go retro and bust out those two boxes of stardrives that grandma dug up for chritmas.

Just make sure you glue them in.  :)

Just might have to recruit you and Mudmittens for one of my old projects.  It is an epic trend setter.  Will have to wait until next year since it is in an area that closes and I would like some opportunity to get back into shape.

Guaranteed to be a classic.  There is at least 90 feet of over hanging mud, then it is vertical for a 100'.

Perfect weather today.

I spied a few more lines

Oddly, Mungie was a no show. He said something about ice skating and Tenaya.

Who'da thought he was a closet figure skater. Think blades of Glory.

I hope Tenaya is willing to hold him up.

Ice screw test depth and photos show the ice to be over 10" deep.

Epic, once in a lifetime opportunity to skate Tenaya without having to ski in or risk snow fall on the ice.

Ice Climbing on SPH
Ice Skate Tenaya like an NHL pro
Bouldered at the Knobs area in full-on sun
Apple Pie and Tea by the lake with Mrs Munge and the incorrigible Nurse Ratchet
Mexican food dinner in Oakdale to polish off the day before getting home.

pics soon

The potential for great lines on the Balconies remains.
