The taco truck food was awesome.  Thanks for the great program.

The whole event was extremely well planned and executed.

Preparing food ourselves as part of the event, as has been done in previous years, was always excellent. But the taco truck thing was absolutely superb, as good as what we ate in previous years, and probably took a lot less effort by PCAD personnel. I'd strongly suggest it again.

I also want to commend the PCAD Committee for how it handled a mistake it made last year. As discussed in front of "the crowd" before the auction portion of Saturday night, a major, major donor to last year's PCAD (yeah, 2017) was somehow basically omitted from the public thanks, and from listing on the T-shirt (maybe other omissions too?). The donor got only a "thank you" card, and that after the fact. Four members of the Committee talked to me about this unfortunate error during the day on Saturday. All of them were mortified by what had happened.

You Committee members work hard on this event. It's all volunteer time too. But each of you is human. Errors happen.

One way to handle errors is to "sweep them under the carpet," ignoring them. This can be soothing to one's pride, but it really doesn't deal with the fact that the error was made.

You all didn't do that. I thought that the public apology at the event and the belated thanks to that donor that followed were well done and heart-felt. Both were very appropriate. Thanks to you all for standing up about this error and doing exactly the right thing.

I'm already looking forward to next year's work.

I will scheme on what odd-ball items to plant around the monument for next year's clean-up.

Sorry to not have made it, work schedule and Dr's orders to not do strenuous stuff....

JC, we did trail clearing, downsloping, and waterbars on the High Peaks Trail all the way up to the top of the ridge.  I was on the trail work crew both days.  Tough, back-breaking work, but the trail looks awesome.

I was not there and did not request the call out.  I do want to sincerely thank those that stood up and publicly said thanks.  It is appreciated a great deal.  It has been awhile since I have made it to one of these events.  Perhaps next year.

All true. Which is why I omitted any names in my comment  ;)

I hope you do make it next year.

The least they could do would be to name his parking spot after him...."Mr Mud".

Then we can say "I got Mr Mud's spot this am"
