It restarted for me at Pinnacles when JC took me out to Square Block, which protrudes from the ridge quite like his own forehead. Watching him lead it inspired me to succumb again to the spell of choss climbing.

It all started with a stick clip and Brad climbing a tree. Wink

I don't get it....Did Brad used to trim trees in a prior life?
I'm not worthy.

I first met J.C. and K.C. at the West Side Pinnacles on a day when Mucci and I were replacing bolts. In order to get to two of the bolts that needed replacing, I'd "led" up a tree and fixed a rope. Since I'd gotten us there, Josh graciously agreed to drill.

While he was drilling the replacement bolt, I wandered over and starting talking to J.C. and K.C. at The Flumes. I returned later to continue with Josh.

About an hour after that, the Cooks were walking out and they stopped by to visit with us some more. It was the start of a great friendship.

Nicely indoctrinated  ;)  Does her dad know that she's started down this path? Did she try dad's route while she was out there?

She texted back and forth with her dad on the way home. We didn't have time to Blow Chunks.

My stance was pretty thin for the feet and had me squealin' to get it done.
Even though I was able to rest a few times, it was just delaying the inevitable so I let 'er rip :)

Alex is a solid climber. Stance placing bolts even though she coils the rope like a girl, and Aaron.

We ate a delicious red mole sauce dinner at Tres Pinos. I showed Aaron and Alex a picture of Martha and me, taken on a Mexico trip last decade. Alex's comment was "How long ago was this taken? I wouldn't recognize you, shows what 10 years can do."

Aaron peeled with laughter. He may have peed his pants.

I propose the word Rotten be added to the nickname Kid.

"Rotten" is unnecessary as it's implied whenever I refer to most "kids".

Present company kids excluded, of course.
The "best" climber is the one having the most fun.

All I have to say is small hands.

I propose the word Rotten be added to the nickname Kid.

That would be great. Quick clue into my personality and my predilection for adventure climbing at Pinnacles. People won't even need to bother getting to know me.

If the "rotten"applies to her, then all young women should have a bit of rotten in them. I'd say spirited, smart, funny. Really those are just variations on a theme, no.

So stealthy! I figured it was only a matter of time before this happened...

Notice the use of "the" - in line with current guidebook criteria :)
