Well, it's not exactly a movie quote, but this seems like an OK thread for this tidbit.
Our small local paper, The Union Democrat carried a story on March 29 with this title: "OUT THERE: Backcountry ventures in the Central Sierra."
The author was comparing back roads in Yosemite National Park as they exist now, to photos of them from 100 and more years ago. While hiking off the valley floor, the author encountered a few other back-country users. So the story contains this line:
"Hours later, on my return, I met Adam Long, 37, of Santa Cruz, who had skis strapped to his backpack and said he hoped to traverse the valley’s snowclad north and south rims."
Our own Atomizer, made famous in the High Sierra. Whodathunkit?
