I have to say that I'm a little shocked...

I voted Libertarian, just to piss people off. And I never saw anything in what Obama was saying that made me even consider voting for him (can you say empty rhetoric?). Same with McCain... Where is that change we need? Certainly not coming from one of these two parties.

But at least I'll get a tax cut to spend while the economy goes further down into the hole...

  I am amazed.  I grew up in small towns in the Northwest.  The first girl I fell for was a black girl, wow what a smile.  A long haired country boy and a black girl just did not go over.  Believe me I heard it all and learned first hand what prejudiced means.  Thankfully my parents raised me tougher than most of the other white trash in town.  
 When Obama won the Democratic nomination I did not think he had a chance.  Not to long ago Republicans had the Senate, Congress and the Presidency for 6 years and they dropped the ball.  Well actually I think they lost the ball.
 I hope and pray that Obama and the rest of the Democrats keep their head about themselves and pull this place together.  In a few Months they get thier chance.

Granted I'm biased... I support the libertarian platform for the federal government. Small government, less government intervention in our personal lives, free market, low taxes, etc... I just cannot vote for someone who wants to raise taxes on the people who hire the rest of us. Cut some freakin' government spending already!

 I think some people are not so enamored with Obama.  The just do not like the direction that the Republicans have been going.  
 Yes there are many people going crazy over Obama.  But, many of the people I have talked with are just glad that Bush and the Republicans are out.
 I personally saw Palin as Bush in a skirt.
 I first voted Replican and had no intention of ever voting Democratic because of the history of the Southern Democrats.  There is no way these days I would vote Republican because they seem to much like those old Southern Democrats.
 So some people are happy for Obama others are happy cuz those other folks are out.

Here's to hoping the Republicans get their shit together.

 I'm not so much for Free Market, yes to a certian extent it is good.  Even Greenspan a staunch believer in Free Market.  What did he say in his latest interview.  Free Maket does not work since large corporations cannot police themselves and have no morales.
 Hell even Warren Buffet is against it.  He stated for the record quit taxing the middle class.  Warren Buffet stated he does not need any more tax breaks since he makes and has plenty of money.
 When asked pointedly what it would take for him to vote for McCain he stated "Other than a lobotomy?".  Buffet will pay more taxes under Obama and Buffet voted for him.
