Plus 3 Networking tool
« on: November 09, 2008, 07:49:22 PM »
At the Low Key Hill climb I met Joe.  One of the founders of Plus 3.  It is a free tool that can be used to log your rides.  You pic a cause that will have a sponsor.  For every mile you ride you the sponsor will chip in a certain amount of money.

If you you a garmin it turn out to be about a penny a mile.  If you enter it by hand it is about 30 to 60 cents a mile.  Not much but it adds up and is kinda cool.

It is possible to add groups in which case we all could be part of the same group and plan and share rides.

check it out.  I joined and put my Jamison Creek ride in there.

The site the is not most refined, but it works. Mud just created a Mud 'n Crud team on the site, invited me to join, and added me to the group. It seems to only work in that sequence. So, once you are registered, let us know. He will invite you to join the team. I didn't find a way to search for a particular group and request to join by myself.

Looks like Mud already raised 5 cents for breast cancer research fund.  :D I should ride more from now on.
Inch by inch, I will get there.

Oops, I can't believe Mud did not include the most important information when he tried to promote the site. Here it is...

That was a bit of an oversight.  Thank you for providing the link.
