Brad, you have just scratched the surface. Triassic is great. The 2nd & 3rd pitches just go and go.

Yes, Red Rocks is a better climbing destination than I ever could have imagined. Absolutely fabulous. We did a four pitch route, Triasic Sands (5.10b), that is every bit as good as Gripper in The Valley. Did part of another four pitch route, The Nightcrawler (5.10c), that is at  least as good as Oz in The Meadows (On this, in  my sixth straight day of climbing, I was so pooped I rapped before finishing it!). Endless numbers of routes, from 10 pitch 5.6s to harder routes short and long. Might go back in May.

can be hot in May, so I'm guessing Icebox?

was that your first time there evar?

Black Velvet all the way! Or the Cloud Tower/ Ginger Butress area. There is soo much to do there.

Say Brad, have you heard of a little route named Epinephrine?? I think there are a few wide spots.

I keep telling the wife I could live there and never get bored climbing. Of course then there's the employment fator.

Yes, first time in RR ever. With the exception of Triassic Sands, we stayed away from north facing walls - it was just too dam cold! Will try to get there when it is warmer, and yes, obviously I've heard of Epinephrine. That's a high priority, right after Bill and I do Rock Warrior.

ahhhh, my palms are all sweaty thinking about the wonderful RR Sandstone. A purely lifetime area Brad. Time to go back.

A beautiful day. Jim, his brother Bill, Mud, and I carpooled over and arrived early (~8:10am). Saw Bruce and Clint at Moses Sprint parking lot setting up their display before they were headed to Discovery Wall for some rebolting. We spent the day at Discovery Wall climbing at a leisurely pace. Jack, a climber from DC visiting the area for work teamed up with me. We put him on Wet Kiss, Big Pucker, Stupendous Man, Broken Arrow, and the Verdict. He seemed like he had a great day. When we hiked down, the displays were already torn down, but we got to hang out at the parking lot with everyone, well, almost everyone.

A few pics from our gallery:

Blah blah blah

Inch by inch, I will get there.

Stopped at Bigbucks for wireless access (rest/weather day from our PCT hike, did the Orange County highpoint today). Rendevous was a blast, always such good people. Got a few shots. here's one of Katie and Mudworm that I really like:

That's all until we get home.

Santiago Peak, between I-15 and I-5. It's a drive to the top on the rare occasions that the road is open (hell of drive too on dirt). It's only 5,000 plus feet, but given it's location, the views are pretty good.

But, the top isn't exactly pristine:

Hi everybody, It's Jack.  Thanks for a great time last weekend.  You have one great pile of mud there.  Hope to see everyone again soon.
