Way Back in the Day (Not For Those Feeling Old)
« on: March 24, 2009, 08:41:30 PM »
One of Vicki's few leads at Pinns. About 1991 or 1992. Anyone know the route?

EDIT: Looking at the photos, she really is beautiful. I was smart to marry her.

Yep, Regular Route on Chockstone. Shoes? Don't know why she wanted them on top. Habit?

Here's two more favorites, from a climbing trip to the East Side Sierra Nevada (not Pinns). May 1995, and Vic is five months pregnant with Katie (the daughter who is now taller than Vicki is):

And this one in The Gorge (Rob can probably guess where on this too). Many of you will remember Squamish Chief who is sitting with her:

Going to guess Negress wall. That's a tough pic. The rock that Vic is sitting on is the only indicator really.

Is Vickie wearing Rock n Roses.  I think that was the name of the climbing shoe.  If so those puppies were super stiff.

Just thought of it but an old pair of those would be great of OW.

No clue which shoes those were - they were from the early '90s. But I can confirm that Vic wasn't much into offwidths :)
