Hidden Trails Road
« on: April 20, 2009, 09:13:22 AM »
Finally skated this puppy from top to bottom without a fall or bail.  .5 miles, drops 205 feet, max grade 18%.  Pretty much have the speed control dialed in, but there is a lot of traffic which adds a whole new deminsion.  I wore my gnarly work gloves and completely tore through the palm in one run.

Best part was the soccer mom that pulled me back up the hill at 25mph!
eow!

just finished..  well, finished about 90 minutes ago, but been hanging out and doing some work.  best session i have ever had, we hit every single downhill in a two mile radius and nailed all but 1. full on circuit.   way more confident now that i have the slide down pat.  i can control my speed on almost anything!  hit hidden trails from top to bottom in style, with a lot traffic, sliding like mad and bombin the bottom.  felt like a teenager when at the bottom i took a hard right and skated under a gate into a parking lot.

got good and scared on this one super awesome steep downhill that levels out but is still downhill a bit at the bottom.  you just keep going faster and faster, deceptive.  nice uphill run out at the end.  slight speed wobbles, tuck harder and hang on!
