Shane,

Thx. I left work late this evening and am going back in for tomorrow. So Saturday is out. Sorry.

Sunday, i'm hiking only. Tendon strain or tear in the shoulder is keeping me from climbing in any event.

Apparently we're going to be near Elephant rock, for at least part of the time.   After that, not sure.

check back in later with ya

mudworm and I are supposed to hook up with Brad Sunday.  Elephant Rock, if I am not mistaken, is on the West Side.  I think Bratton will also be with us.  Brad usually spends half of his time wandering around in the weeds talkin with himself so we could probably get you on a rope.

Where do you live?

munge:

sorry to hear about the tendon tear.  Hope you recover soon.

Mr Mud:

I live in san jose, I'm going to be going with another friend on Sunday, going to work on redpointing verdict and foreplay.  I also heard between a rock and hardplace has new top anchor bolts so I'll probably be giving that a try.  Thanks for the offer though.

Brad on the second pitch...

When questioned, mid climbing, about the ethics of using one's knee on the FFA words were spoken to the effect of...

"Eat shit and die."

I cleaned out the garage yesterday.

It's amazing what one can find among the boxes of old books and crap. I even found my Hunter's Safety Certificate, aka, I know how not to shoot my partner. I wonder if Cheney needs a refresher?

That definitely looks like a Knee taint by Brad.   Oh the joy off loose rock climbin I finally felt comfortable about taking a fall after putting in 6 cams within 3 feet.

Yeah, and I'm humping over multiple 10 pound chunks of loose rock, with marginal protection well below my feet. Damned right I'm doing what I can to not dislodge stuff (stuff like me!) Knees work, knees are good.

Who's the joker that decided you can't use your knees? Good grief, this "style" crap is going too far. Next thing you know it will be unnaceptable to use your feet...
