Ropes are down. Very weird situation. Not sure what happened. The ropes were tied and through an anchor from the top of the third pitch. One side was touching the ground well the other side was half way between the second and third pitch. It was fun having four ropes while on the third pitch belay....

Anyways the ropes are down and the route is pretty clean.

So would I. Very weird. Not understanding how they got down, unless they had a third rope? Or down climbed....10c.

And... the route is straight terrifying... I love it. Best thing I have climbed in the monument. Not one hold broke, even though everything I've heard was that the route is loose. I did loose a water bottle when my tape came undone. I'm assuming someone may have picked that up? I didn't come across it on the hike out.

Mud - Sorry we didn't get in touch before you were already on the approach trail.

Very nice work!

Sound like a stout adventure was had!

It seemed to me those guys were in a hurry (storm)?  The red rope was just flapping away around the 3rd, and the blue rope to me did not seem to pass that ramp at the start.  Funny that the blue one seemed to be anchored, but what do I know, Ha!

Thanks for the effort to clean the trash off the Machete, Stand up move in my mind.

cheers,

Mucci

Brad - I'd be up for climbing with anyone at Pinns. Just get in contact with me.

Ah, and to anyone who may go up this, I left two biners on the top of the 3rd pitch in order to rap. Forgot my webbing! So, if you cruise up this, I would love them back if its not too much trouble. Petzl Spirits

Kyle,
No worries.  I figured you would get the ropes.  So I took the opportunity to sleep in.

Thank you
