Thanks! The earliest appointment I can get with a rheumatologist is on Thursday. When I go in, I'll grill the doctor with questions!

It's improving. I'm off the crutches now. Walking hurts, but not too bad. I just walk very slowly, like Mr. Mud. I usually walk 5x faster than him, and it used to cause tension from time to time. Not any more.  ;D
Inch by inch, I will get there.

Yeah, Mudworm says the pain is not to bad.

Keep in mind this person told the Doctor "No" to local anesthetics when he was going to take a scalpel and a scrub to her.

It took an entire Emergency room to get her to change her mind.

When it was all done he wrote her a script for pain meds.

Mudworm - No thank you.  She walked off, the script still in the Doctors hand.

NICE, again though...always take them. If not for yourself then for your first aide kit. This weekend I helped a dude out in Demo that went over the bars. It would have been nice to have offered him something more than a beer and a fist full of Advil. Some pain was involved I could tell. And no it wasn't from giving away beer.

Well, we all know Mud likes to BS, don't we? I cried like a baby last week when the pain got too much! Though, I do end up having a bottle full of Vicodin untouched. Did I hear top dollar? Of course, I don't want to break any law you know.  ;)

Vicodin? Psaw....that's like candy. Perc's are where it's at. I say that with a smile as I hate drugs. Again, just for emergencies.

PS, I do like me some booze though.

See, rest and only rest is the best cure....

Give it time and things will heal.

Eric needs all the help he can get. While you are down, he can keep training.

The Doctor told her to take it easy and let it heal.

So she gets up at 5:30 and goes Mountain Biking this morning.

Y'all can tell Mr Mud was not happy about it, can't you? A promise is a promise is a promise. When the doctor's message reached me, it was already too late for me to call to cancel the plan. Admit it! You would have done the same!  :)

mudworm, as a friend, seriously, go easy. You're hard core, but maybe you don't know it. The body wasn't meant to beaten into submission.

seriously, don't push it if you're not feeling it.

ok, nuff of that pedantic posting mungefoolery. how did the ride go? any swelling?

Sincerely,
Dr. Munge

No further swelling, Dr. Munge. But I'm icing it right now just to be good. It was a gorgeous morning to be on the trails. Squiddo, I'll be up for riding at Skeggs or Waterdog some mornings once the boss clears me.

Love the smell of skeggs in the morning. Rode there alone a few times at sun-up.....kinda scary. Go easy on me as I'm a big wuss. I'm still afraid of the dark.
