Sadly that was back in '97! We thought we'd be back for the '98 season!

We paid who knows how much to have all the slides scanned. Sweet service.

You can buy a cheap but effective slide scanner now for under $40 and do it yourself.

Yah, thought about getting one, a case of Dr Pepper and locking Jake in a closet for a week. The service won out.

Here are some pix of Skull Queen in 08'
Same belay as brad's photo with that big bird helmet!

Crux pitch, EARLY in the morning, already busted out the shades!

I really like this shot, big exposure at the last belay stance.

This is what 2 guys who just did the Queen in August during a 100+ degree heat wave, notice my eyes are shriveling into the sockets from dehydration, we brought 8 gallons of water!

Still, great route and pretty good climbing.

We did a family trip to Joshua Tree in spring 1998 with Skeltons. I still can't get over Katie in a backpack:

A friend of mine had an old pair of red, bell bottomed corduroy pants that didn't fit him. I used them for years (they were cut off me by the rescue personnel when I crashed and burned in the Valley in 1999). They were so not-lycra. Here I'm leading Bev's Tower at the Cookie in December 1998:

That takes me through 400 of the 500 slides I just had scanned. If there are any of interest on the last carousel, I'll continue. Meanwhile theres plenty of room for other people's photos.

I think that's me leading (shoes, chalkbag, pants looks like mine). Ashes to Ashes, Dust to Dust, first pitch, New Year's Day, 2003.

The only other climb I did with you that month was Aqua Cruda. But that doesn't look so much like Aqua Cruda. Maybe something we didn't get clean and so I didn't note it down?
