The Vista Machine may be biting the bullet

The User Profile Service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded.

I've got 4 user accounts on this and since the regular use of one of two of them lately I've had any number of issues.

The blank black screen on start up is the biggest one. The above error is the latest.

searches and solutions are all over the map on these error types, with very little applicability.

I've got a back up running to an external drive. Think I may just wipe it and load 7.

heh

well, still debating it. if it's hardware, a wipe and load won't help.

anyone have any good hardware diagnostic tool recommendations?  free?

ION, just updated californiabouldering.com with a new pre-fab template. I've got an SQL db on that I can play around with too. Didn't realize that. Must be a new feature.

Maybe. I think Sabrina would like a MAC.  Flat navigation is easy and user friendly.

No, most likely not.

sweet power juicer!  make sure it can blend margoritas with lots of ice.

64bit is the way to go. You can bump that memory later and edit the HD vids like no udder mudder.

interesting article, thx.

reminds me of something I just saw on Firefox development, where there is a sweet spot of development between closed in development and too many cooks in the kitchen. I think there was a late 2009 rash of security flaws that came out of that effort with what may be too many developers.

trying to remember where I saw that, maybe gizmodo or slashdot
