Munge, I haven't seen the pictorial book, but would love to check it out. We had an old school book, with written descriptions and lines on photos in the back. I was stoked just to find the base of High E... and yes, I am sure that's the one we did!
Ubergoober, you're right about the pass (I didn't get to try the camping scene, but 20 sites sounds ridiculously inadequate

Also, this was the first time I've had to pay extra to climb - The Mohonk Preserve is a private nonprofit climbing area, and the "hiking" pass is $10/day and the climbing pass is $15. Very different that the public land areas I am used to frequenting, where everyone is charged the same.
Anyone else been somewhere they charge differently for climbing, besides the gym?
