Since this forum is shared by a close knit group of weirdos (I'm in too) I can share this without too much fear of people taking it wrong. Saturday I did my 700th Pinnacles route. All redpoint or better leads, except as to climbs that only exist as topropes. I've been on another 40 or so routes that don't count because I hung  or fell (and no Mr Mud, that route on Elephant doesn't count because - although I climbed both pitches with no falls - I didn't lead the crux pitch. I'll count the route after I go back and lead that 10a, ATDS pitch you onsighted). Thanks Ubergoober, who shared the 700th route with me. And I gotta say I've had fun with all you freaks, Mr Mud, Munge, and Cock and Factor doing all this crazy shit we do for fun down there. On another subject, my 10 year old Katie lead her 3rd Pinns route, the 5.4 route on First Sister. Tough crux when you're 4'10"! I can't believe she even knows what leading is.

As they say "mad props to Katie Young!"

Do you think she would be willing to bolt on lead? Well maybe only with a hand drill. Next year with the bosch.

That is so cool. Of all my kids, my 3 year old is the one who can't stop climbing things. He is amazing. Nothing better than kids climbing!

Not with the Bosch Munge, it weighs more than she does. I'm thinking this summer on your crag up here, let her try some granite slab. That 5.8 we put up, I can never remember its name. Still, gotta let her pace it, as and when she wants to try more.

Brad - didn't you specifically ask me NOT to say anything to Mr Mud that you climbed 700 Pinnacles routes this weekend? Were you not afraid that you would inadvertantly throw down the gauntlet? You know now he will give up his goal of sending Ranger Bolts simply to chase every piece of choss below 5.11 in the Monument simply to out do you.

let the games begin!

Yeah, maybe. But if I get him to chase choss for the numbers, he won't be putting up new routes, which I would have had to chase. It's called having the iniative, bending Mr Mud to my will (Cock, ESAD ahead of time for your crude mind and for the sophmoric comments you will be making. Show more respect to your elders). After I thought about it I had to tell the old geeser.
