maybe it's just me, but I enjoy a route more if I'm not fighting lichen, dirt, moss, or loose holds.

The young couple were planning on packing up and heading to the valley having changed their plans about staying a week in the Pinnacles.

A week at the Pinns would be great. I'd have time to memorize the moves on Melvin.

For me it just depends.  I have done routes at the Pins and other locations that were not necessarily clean and was glad that they were recommended.  Do to the climbing or the setting.
