The Rook. The Gargoyle/Peidra Bonitas Wall is remote, but  is actually close to Knuckle Ridge and to Goat Rock, so its out there but not alone.

Who said anything about rock? Your title says "climb", not "rockclimb".

bicuspid and the teeth are close to the Frog and Hand, e.g. on the hillside behind those right?

I want to scam a look at those poor nasty clods of dirt on the west side of chalone peak.

Jody, you ever been out there via that service road?

Yes, drove right up to the tower. Landowners scowl at you though. I have a key to the gate if you want me to let you in sometime. Just abscond with some sort of fake NPS ID...wait, come to think of it, I have a few of my dads NPS shirts lying around, that might work!LOL!

Those "clods" of dirt don't look bad but I have never been close enough to touch them.

The hike up around takes a solid hour.  If you bushwack straight up, it will probably take longer.

Jody,

Any chance you could be the tour guide, so to speak?  Take a half day and go check those out?  You know which road is the one to take.  I think I do, but not sure.

I'm not sure I could impersonate a federal employee for the sake of clods of dirt, but it would very very cool to go check those out. Just for the sake of guidebook completeness.

BY are you in?

Group of us 4 would fit in one vehicle (with key), or there's enough of us to fend of angry landowners if we hike it. :)
