Adam and Mark
« on: April 17, 2011, 10:39:46 PM »
Hey, good to see you guys. Nice job on the leads today.

I didn't hardly recognize you Adam without the dark glasses on from when I saw you on the 21 route push day.

Sorry to jam out the door. Both of us needed to jet back to the bay area.

Catch up again next weekend.

There's a low percent chance of heading down thursday and or Friday, but I'm probably out Saturday, but will be there Sunday.

Did I hear right you got on Vigilante? Is the PO bush still back there?

We went, and pulled down....

Munge stacked some tricams, told me they were bomber and sent me up to drill off of them.

Scary.

Nice to finally  meet you guys, good show on the druid and Vigilante!

Yesterday was a little bit of an off day for us. I wanted to get back on the Ranger Bolts, which I hadn't tried for a month and a half, been a little busy with other climbs.  The heat and my motivation wouldn't let it happen. The Druid is pretty fun, but may have the most rope drag of all the 5.12's at The Pinns. Cataract Corner took a few good pieces of skin off me, and we both got a little frustrated on that one.

We did have some time to remove some PO from the corridor between the Monolith and Back Door. We cleaned up Miscegenation a little more and removed some shrubbery at the base, in addition to the cheater log David Allfrey used on what we see as an invalid 2nd ascent. I guess Miscegenation still waits for a real second ascent starting from the ground.

Nice seeing you guys! I tried my proj yesterday, became a sweaty mess, hanging twice. At least I tried it though (cough * ADAM). Druid is good! We were really lichen that route!  We also did Heat Seeking Moisture Missile for the first time. Pretty wild. We both got covered in what we deemed "toxic waste." Fired Vigilante onsite last weekend. I figure that my Pinns career is all downhill from there, though.

I guess Mark and I are behind the times, we still use hooks to put bolts in from. We have a lot to learn.  A can of bud is kind of like a Screamer, how many Kilo Newtons is that thing rated to?

So whats the deal with the Mud Party? I imagine if we show up with adult beverages and fresh raviolis that we will have a piece of ground to crash on? I can't afford to actually pay for that massively over priced campground.
