What a glorious day on the West Side!!
« on: February 05, 2012, 09:14:23 PM »
I feel truly honored to have met and climbed with Gavin and Waldo (Bob).  You were both so generous with your time and knowledge - we all came away better climbers for it.

I'm looking forward to our next time and to meet more mud n crudders.  Thank you for being a link to new climbing friends and experiences.

Oh, and yeah...Dos Equis was a bit over my head for now, but I LOVED Corona (so nice I had to do it twice!) and Big Bad West.

Cheers fellow Pinn lovers!

I was wondering how it went.  Good to hear you had a good time.  Need to get down there again this year.  Just need to complete the move.

Hey Lisa, it was a fine day on the West Side. I'm glad you and your crew had such a good time. We'll have to do it again in the near future!

Absolutely!

It was a wonderful day of firsts...first day on the W Side, first outdoor lead for one fella and first lead ever for another.  Sunday will always have a special place in our hearts for many reasons.

And surely the weather is always that perfect.   ;)

I had a fine time and appreciate your patience with my blather.  All I can say is I'm worse around a campfire.  I realized when I got home that it was thirty-five years to the day since Joe Bryant and Jim Leech introduced me to Twinkle Toes.

Very cool!  Another "first" of sorts...an anniversary of a first.

And as for the blather...I'll share a campfire with you anytime.

Waldo, why does the name Joe Bryant stick in my memory?

Joe used to climb with Jack off and on in the eighties.  He got more into marathons and slipped away from climbing.  I think he's got some first ascents.  Brad would know for sure.  No rain down here yet, just gray.  I hope the clouds unload soon!
