Forgive me mudders
« on: February 22, 2012, 12:56:24 PM »
It has been over a month since my last pinnacles trip.

I have sinned.

Touch, choss, filth, dirt, thrutch, heavy on the thrutch.

For my penance, I will go bouldering on limestone yet again.

Tsk, tsk.

At least you know the gravity of your sins, my son.

7 sit starts shall be your penance.

As long as your crushing stone.  Sans pad might feel more like pins?

If one looks closely, munge is abundant everywhere, even that prancy limestone :D

Visited Hyalite Canyon last week in Montana.  Mostly an ice climbing trip, but I noticed the rock was a mix of basalt and very Pinnacles-like breccia.  The ice routes around Cody, Wyoming are in mountains with similar-looking breccia.

Steve on The Scepter (WI5) -- breccia

The Thrill Is Gone (WI4/M4), looking very sunbaked -- basalt

Steve on Mousetrap (M4+) -- basalt

The "Bingo Cave", severely overhanging bolted mixed routes in a basalt cave behind the Bingo World (WI6) pillars
