Although it is completely unrelated to birthdays, this post doesn't fit anywhere; this is the most active thread recently so I'll put it here:

Tricia placed first in league last evening in JV girls pole vault. The Mother Lode League encompasses six or seven schools total, so this isn't a tiny accomplishment. Add to it that, in doing this she also beat her prior personal best by just under two feet. Not bad for an event that she only started doing halfway through the season

Pole vault? Damn!!! That was the hardest track event in my opinion.
Scary to think of trying to bend a long pole and stay on top of it.
That event takes mucles, my buddies were always working out.

Happy early birthday Brad.

Brad asked me to restore the Pinnacles Climbing 30 years and Counting thread so I just finished that. I also noticed a missing pic of one of my other favorite partners on a birthday thread Tuff Chix did in News and Announcements so I squared that up.

On another topic, the guy I was out with yesterday is new to climbing and new to Pinns (this was the 2nd time I'd taken him out) and he is pretty stoked on the adventure side of things. His name is Jason and he hails from eastern Kentucky - very near the Red River Gorge (although he never climbed there). If anyone needs to clean up a route I suggest inviting Jason out to take a run up your new line - preferably on TR. He is 6 foot 6 with a positive APE INDEX of 3 inches. He also tips the scales at 250. I wouldn't suggest playing football or wrasslin' with him

BTW, if you were to "restore" your photos to one thread per month, we'd soon have those threads back. I like the idea....

As for my birthday, I'm considering going way up past Pinecrest into the South Fork Canyon with Munge to climb and document a few routes up there (Munge, do you think there's any chance that this will work out?). As I understand IT, that's climbing on that IT stuff. Will you (J.C.) still talk to me afterward?

Just got home (to immediate calls from my sister and by J.C. and K.C.). Thanks for the birthday wishes.

And BTW, did anyone notice how much earlier it got light out today versus yesterday? The days are getting longer (yes!!). It's still butt-cold outside though (ice on the driveway here from Wednesday's snow).
