My GF and I just took 2.5 days to climb West Face of Leaning Tower. *sigh*

If this is the same one that cleaned Premuditated for you, just get married already. Bond that's sealed in mud and blood, is a fer sure. hah!

She's moving up to the Bay Area after our summer jobs at the camp I run. Pinnacles season will def be back in the swing of things then.
BTW: I sent her your post mungy via text, her response was a smiley face. Mine was too.

we had a hot yet rewarding day today linking up Bullseye and Derringer - did Derringer as 3 pitches...what an awesome view at the top of the Machete! now we'll be ready to go back and do Old Original when it's a bit cooler...that approach is an adventure! ski scree descent...

I feel like taking someone I love ice climbing is a subtle way of telling her I want her dead. But that's just because ice scares the sheit out of me.

Cobbledik: I think most of us here made up our minds about Dixie after your Premeditated trip report (not that it is any of our damn business). It'd be nice to meet her (and you too) some day!

Not to be too patronizing, but is sure is cool to see how both of you are moving through the routes and the areas and learning about what's where. And having fun too.

I know Old Original has been on your list for a while. Knowing right where to go to start is a big part of making a smooth ascent.

Agreed.  My own obsession with bigwalls has kept me away from the Pinns this year, but you guys are inspiring. When I first started aiding at the Pinns, I thought of it as the ultimate in training. The more I aid though, the more I'm realizing that aid at the Pinns is its own beast and hardly training. Height isnt all that's important.

Next year is pinnacles year for us. The Pinns changed how I lead climb, I want Dixie to have the same benefits.

thanks Brad and cobble,
we do know exactly where to get started now. i was amazed at the big thick superman hangers we rappelled from at the top of OO's p1. it was good to get back on some new rock and do a nice long multi-pitcher after all that bushwhacking and head games last weekend. KC is also feeling a lot better about scrambling, route finding and downclimbing stuff.
