The photograph of Val on Cuidado is mine. It's shot with a Canon 40D and a 50mm 1.4. I used to shoot professionally but decided my dedication would be better suited in climbing, so I left on lousy paying career for a even less paying career.
The video however is by Nic Coury of the Monterey County Weekly and he shoots will a quiver of Nikon cameras and lenses. I think he mostly used a lower end pro-sumer body on the videos. I'm not up on all the new cameras.
Anyways I thought Nic's video was quite good given how little he had to work with. Cuidado lends itself to being shot easily. I was pretty psyched with the turn out of my photo. It definitely became what I imagined. That dosn't happen often.
Second pitch of Conduit: I did not do it. Although I know it's probably pretty good, we ended up calling after the first pitch. I have no excuses except that eventually I get to go back up there. Which I'm always psyched about. Regardless of how scared I am.
