First MTB ride of the year.
« on: March 10, 2013, 11:05:55 PM »

Well have not written or ridden in quite a while  I was notified or a really good deal on  frame and fork combination around Christmas time so I went ahead and pulled the trigger.  I had test rode this frame a half dozen times and it seemed like one of the funnest bikes I had ever ridden.  So here it is.  Just a short shake down ride after putting it together.

Rode with my favorite ridding partner.  She was busy working on projects so was a bit reluctant.

pre ride blues

But we really had to do this one thing

Peddle Damit

The freshly built ride

New Niner RIP9

An old trusty steed.

Titus FTM

All to soon we are feeling like this!

Sweet!

A rest at the top of the hill

A bench with a view

Love the trails

She is a beauty

Spring tackiness.

One more turn....

Maiden Voyage

First Ride

A bit of Mud

Mud on the new bike

A good day for a ride with my favorite riding partner.  Like the way the new bike rides will have to see how this works out.  Have not ridden since October hopefully we get on the trails more in the next few months.

A beautiful day

Reluctant? That's an understatement. It took quite some coercing and even threatening from Mr. Mud to get me out the door. The truth is I was skeered.

All the riding clothes have shrunk. Thankfully, the knee and elbow pads could still slide on, despite being tight.

A good ride indeed!
Inch by inch, I will get there.

So very happy to see this post :)  Knowing you two, you'll be ready for a Coe epic in about 2 weeks, right? :)

Epic-ness is subjective! (Thank god!) The ride was not even an hour, and Mr. Mud worked on the ride report until midnight. That, I'll say, was epic! Been so long we forgot how to upload GPS and photos and how to write blog posts!
Inch by inch, I will get there.

I rode at Soquel Demo yesterday, I think you'd have fun there with that bike.

I test rode the RIP at Demo when I was looking at bikes a while back.  That is what made want to go back.  Perhaps Skegs or Coe this weekend.  Freakin nuts this week.  Had VM hang a host server, did everything to get it back.  Had to boot the host which had another production vm on it.  Los ta ton of time, ready to lose it.
