Probably just work more to pay for the first round of college.

Not a bad idea, actually, but, as it turns out, we've got that covered.

I think the extra time is going already to more backpacking, more study in my room downstairs, and, especially, to focusing my climbing on climbing harder.

Even though we got rained out after two days, I had a ball at Lover's Leap. A May trip to a non-SPH destination would have been an unaffordable luxury during any of the last six summers.

Any minute now Dawson will get off of that useless site (the Walmart-of-the-internet/no-one-has-or-deserves-privacy-ever/let's-take-over-the-world/clones site), and post a photo here of the finished book (I can't access my flickr account from here - I don't keep the password anywhere but home).

Come on Dawson, come on...

The photos are beautiful. Someday he'll post them.

And, here's the other news: the books weigh in at ... 2.35 pounds per book! Damn, you all are going to need sherpas.

We'll just have to drill a hole through it so it can be slung and used as a chock on route.

Looks cool, I can only imagine what is in there, with that much weight. How much weight does SPH Have on the Pinns?

I never thought about that. The Pinns book didn't seem so outrageously large as this one does, and so I never weighed it. But this SPH book is made of exactly the same paper and cover material, and is of the same width and height. It's also almost exactly 50% larger (nearly 600 pages compared to 400).

U.P.S. tracking says the rush shipment of 20 books is on schedule to be delivered to my office tomorrow (imagine shipping 48 pounds of books by rush delivery - we must be desperate!).

The first box of 20 books (rush shipment) is now on the U.P.S. delivery truck, and that truck has left Angels Camp (their local warehouse). I'll get them today.

The orange highlighter is sitting on my desk waiting...

The whole idea of getting twenty fast was to have some to get to people for this weekend. So, yes, it's possible that we'll have one available if you come up.
