I.D. this route
« on: September 06, 2013, 06:37:02 AM »
I found this pic in my CA geology text yesterday.
I don't visit Discovery that often. Wet Kiss perhaps?
Anybody recognize it?

Yes. And who knows the climber's name?

I think there may be a rope under her left leg. It is really hard to tell from the pic. I can't clearly see a harness either. The pic in the book is very small (2 x 2 3/4") and when I scanned it and opened with any program but Photoshop it was automatically "blown up" making the resolution sucky. I looked at the original with a magnifying glass - no good either. It looks like they credited Amy Jordan, FoP for the photo.

Yup it has to be Lynn H.

Mr Mud's hair was long, but not as dark. Unless he has been bleaching all these years he's had short hair.

Who else could it be. That's a hard route.

Usually go for the top, there are several exits.  Although I have down climbed the route.

that would be the right hand exit and not the easiest.  Took me a bit to work that one out.

Sans rope, yes it would be scary.

Best to bolt a line between plauge and not above Wet Kiss.

We can then call it Kiss-Plague.
