Testing Samsonite in the High Peaks
« on: November 24, 2013, 10:34:04 AM »
Sam joined me, KC and Bob on the west side yesterday for a journey into the High Peaks

For her second time climbing outside she got a mountain of information and lead belayed me on a couple routes.
She also got some practice on slab…Bynum's

Stemming…Rock Steady

Down climbing…(H and L pitch 2)

Exposure…

And fun with shadows

Bob enlightened on Got You

KC got this sweet shot of me leading Tuff from Got You

Followed by a crag party on Tuff’s summit

We finished on The Cone with Sam giving two thumbs up

We saw two condors on the way up. They were soaring near Resurrection. We were treated to a couple more sightings on the way out, looking up from below Chaos Crag. We could hear drilling in the distance and called for Atom but got no response. Brad and Tricia hiked up to meet us on our way out. We shared some climbing chat with a group from SLO in the parking lot. Perfect weather, perfect day.

I knew you had to somewhere close by... Since you live at The Pinns. I thought I heard my name being called but there was too much rock dust and moss in my ears to really be sure.
