Photos from Sunday 1/5
« on: January 10, 2014, 03:10:55 PM »
I hiked around the park last Sunday and took a bunch of pictures. Maybe you'll recognize some of these folks.

Party on The Inn Crowd, if I am not mistaken:

Rapping off Machete:

This guy was climbing a long gully, west of Machete, south of the trail.  Curious what this route might be:

Party of two on Lower Balconies:

Nice sunset:

Larger versions and a ton of more shots here:

Maybe some could be useful for tracing routes. I leafed through Brad's book and got the captions as close as I could. Some of them are sorta generic, some might be plain wrong. I'd appreciate any suggestions/corrections, feel free to drop me a line.  Thanks - Joe

Nice pictures, we did Machete Friday- and a condor hung out with us for about 20 minutes about 50 feet away.  It did not seem to fear us.

Nice, Joe. That is us on The Inn Crowd. And we saw those folks rappelling on Old Original from The Inn Crowd (Old Original got quite a bit of traffic last weekend).

From left to right - JC at the belay slave position, Joel leading pitch 2, Brad working on the pitch 2 anchor - those are awesome by the way Joe - thanks!

Looks like Dos Equis based on the smoothness, top-rope-ability and shadowing

Party of two on Lower Balconies:

Could be one of several water-streak routes as the anchors for several are on the right and out of the streak.

One wheel shy of "normal"
