it was 108 at noon saturday at pinnacles, 105 at about 7 according to my car.

monolith seemed alright, verdict was causing me to sweat some

I didn't think it was that bad.  My hands don't really sweat that much though.  The hike was killer, but only the last climb was hard.  Cantalope Death and Feed the Beast were pretty well shaded to start the day, then the climbs around POD were shaded after that, the top of monolith was hot though.  Wet Kiss was alright, Verdict as the last climb of the day was the only thing that I really sweated a bit on.

I just need to find somewhere with lots of 11s and easy 12s that I can work on that isn't so far away, and doesn't have a bad road on the approach

What about the back side of the Monolith.  Most of those routes are difficult.  Plus there is Black Dagger.

yeah its a good spot to go, I just wish it wasn't so hot.  This weekend is probably going to be reasonable there.  It just seems like most of the stuff on the sonora pass has a couple of miles of roads that my car won't make it on, or is more then 2 hours away.
