« on: February 15, 2014, 09:28:08 AM »
Any good downloadable climbing reads about Pinnacles, I am trapped on the couch on a foggy cloudy day. I printed out some of Tom Higgins, any other suggestions? Thanks

The pictures on the card were not his, but of a "couple" john and Joe. They had seen most of southern California and had dropped the card @ the base of the Gameshow wall.

What Eric didn't realize was after we found the card I had slipped it into his jacket for safe keeping.

So the next morning he gets a distressed call from his parents. They kept asking is "there anything you want to tell us?"

Typical Eric....nope.

This went on for a bit as Eric is a man of few words.

I think finally they mentioned THE card found in his jacket.

Then he realized the purpose of the phone call.

What was on the card?

"A couple, John and Joe..."

(So his folks wanted to know if there was anything Dennis wanted to share with them - and he hadn't looked at the photo card and had no idea what they were talking about).

I had looked at the card hoping to see a card filled with hot chicks and well F4 told the rest of the story.  I had completely forgotten about the card and being at bit dense at times it took me quite some time to realize what was going on.  I forgot how the card got in their hands.  I think I lent my jacket to my sister cuz she was cold or something and she wore it home.  She was the one that finally asked me about it directly and it took me a few minutes to even remember the dang thing.  Was a bit funny but they really did not believe the original story.  I think some still do not.

My other sister who is gay was pretty happy for a bit.  One of those funny "no shit there I was" stories that no one really believes.

if it was a joke is was a doozy.  Went across WA, OR, ID before it got back to CA.  Answered a few phone calls before I knew what was up.

To me that was the best part...I was being Mr. Safe and putting it in a safe place so he wouldn't lose it.
I had no idea it would go so "viral"

I still get a chuckle thinking about it.

He "found" the card.

I always wondered how he knew to look where he did.
