Will belay for food
« on: March 18, 2014, 12:24:28 PM »
Heck...let me follow you and the food and (good) beer is on me!

I'm off the first week of April and will be looking for some adventure if weather permits.

Pinnacles is fine but a road trip wouldn't suck either.

Let's talk, if you're up for granite.

I was hoping you'd say that.

If I read your post correctly, you'd be willing to go climbing with me, provide careful belays, and, in return, be poisoned? The food goes your way, right?

Have you ever tasted my cooking? Sorry, I've always thought of you as a great (potential) partner, but I can't stand the idea of inflicting that on anyone.

Would you climb with me if I didn't feed you?

I'm good for Saturday (3/22) if you care to warm up a bit.  No food is required, just beer.

Define (good) beer, and Waldo, what does "just beer" cover?

If I read your post correctly

Brad, she moved to fast for you to catch what the meaning. I can slow it down for you.

First the title "Will belay for food", this implies that in return for belaying she will receive food. Then there is the first word of the accompanying lead post "heck...", which is a complete and immediate reversal of the first statement. She then offers not only to belay but to also provide sustenance and quality adult beverages, but with a string attached. The person taking the offer must lead.

Hope this heips :P

Bob, did you hear about the recent weekend seminar that involved the CEOs of all the major beer companies?

Bob, did you hear about the recent weekend seminar that involved the CEOs of all the major beer companies?

It was a three day meeting/conference and all the beer bigwigs were there.

On the last night they all had dinner together, very festive. As the waitress went around the table she asked for food and drink orders. The Budweiser CEO ordered dinner and, to drink, a Bud. Coors Junior had a steak and, of course, a Coors. The guy from that brewery in Wisconsin had dinner and a PBR. The Tecate importer got a Mexican style dish and Tecate to drink.

The waitress then came around to the CEO from Guinness. He ordered a fine meal and... a Diet Pepsi. Everyone else at the table heard this and gasped as if they were one. Then silence rang like a loud bell. Finally, the CEO from Miller Brewing asked the man from Guinness: "aren't you having beer with dinner?"

He looked up. He saw the wildly curious stares from all the other CEOs. Then he said: "No, no. If none of you are drinking beer then neither will I."

Did he learn that trick from the Sierra Nevada dude, or the most interesting man in the world?

I take it from this that you're bringing Guinness for all to the April gathering?

Dude - you must be "doing" something else because that makes no sense - how does climbing runout moss and choss make climbing bullet granite easier? I get it - after being scared shitless on runout moss and choss - anything seems easier by comparison. Now just for the record, when was the last time you were at Pinns? I haven't seen you in my last 50 trips ;)
And quit talking about granite...damnit...Janet...
