Yeah, and I hate ketchup too, and I'm not at all into mayo.

But gimme horseradish on Pastrami! Now that's damn good.

[quoteSide story:
I typically always use equestrians to denote people that ride horses.  I do occasionally refer to some old school folks that ride as Horseback Riders.  I have met a few over the years.  My Dad is a Horseback Rider.  I mentioned to him how the equestrians and mountain bikers in the bay area do not get along.  He did not get it.  I said "the mountain bikers scare the equestrians".  My Dad got this real confused look.  I guess that is the difference between someone who knows how to ride a horse and someone that rides a horse.][/quote]

;D Can't sleep but my perusing the forum has been rewarded with this. Thanks.

I think for proper snootiness you should use the term equestrian in conjunction with alpine cyclist.
You may also want to avoid foul language and show a preference for fruity tea.

With all the closures lifted, hopefully you can get some sleep tonight and dream of Badasstroman :)

“They’re using the Grand Canyon as their gymnasium,” says Ranney. Even though his wife is a runner, he doesn’t believe running has a place in the canyon, where other extreme sports like mountain biking, paragliding and motor boating have already been banned. “I think running through the Grand Canyon should not be allowed.”

Ultra running can apparently be seen as inappropriate use. Only slow and steady hiking would be kosher. Thoughts? Comparisons?

I'd accept that recommendation. After all when one hears from the expert on the subject, one should listen!

Ultra runners suck and burn an unfair amount of calories.

@JC, I have no problem with snottiness, but no foul language.  Damn that is hard.  Hell even my wife is now swearing like a sailor.

@Brad,

I apologize for dragging your PCT posts through the mud and into gutter.  I kind of lost it there.  Will try harder to keep my shit together going forward.

^%$@#$%!

@munge, I think you made up that quote just to stir things up; either that, or you are mocking Brad's power hike of 30+ miles in 2 days. What's next? Are you going to discuss the greater trail impact by Brad's large shoes?
Inch by inch, I will get there.

Dennis, do you forget what I do for a living?

I deal with tough but honorable opposing attorneys almost every day. Unfortunately, I also encounter less than honorable attorneys (and other kinds of people who are jerks too) almost daily. I deal less frequently but often with liars, ranting idiots, morons, and, frankly, people that really just need a good thrashing. I fight pretty hard for my clients (to a point that is consistent with honesty and integrity).

I wouldn't have characterized any of your or Mudworm's obviously heartfelt comments as "losing it." Not even close.

On the other hand, picking on my "larger shoes?" That's just down and nasty.

buahaha

pulled from a supertopo thread. not totally trolling, but the example popping up at the same time made for an interesting comparison.

Much like climbers going all out, versus a touron going all out. Does either not deserve assistance?
