One of the worst places I have climbed anywhere in the world

An opinion about climbing at the Pinns from MP.

Causing trouble when not climbing.

MP as in mountain project? Pfffft, a step above RC.com. Good for route discriptions and for selling stuff;-)

I dunno about the route descriptions. I've seen some total crap on that site and some very good and helpful stuff too. Garbage in, garbage out.

HA, I said good, not great. Its a mixed bag of information and at best taken with a grain of salt. Regardless at least it has basic forum features unlike ST.com which I enjoy but get tired the percentage ratio of climbing to brainfarting online threads.

Our local guidebook author recently introduce a co-author of a recent Yosemite guide to climbing at  Pinns. It was a setup, an awful pitch that "had to be climbed". His comment was something like "That is the worst climb I have ever done, no, in fact it was the worst pitch I have ever done." For some strange reason he was smiling as he said it.

Fortunately the first-timer ended up on better Mud routes as the day progressed.

He was actually laughing as he said it. He'll be back too.
