Attendance Unlikely

But any of you B.A.P.s would be most welcome.

The Twain Harte contingent of Sonora Pass climbers will be hosting none other than a David Harden climbing slide show on Friday, February 6th. Vicki will probably cook up huge main courses for dinner and others can bring assorted other dishes and beverages.

I know that a Friday evening clear up here is unlikely for most or all of you. Yet if you haven't seen one of Dave's slide shows, you've really, really missed out.

It's not at all as formal as it sounds though - the usual climbing dirtbags hanging out (and in this case, laughing a lot).

If anyone can make it, Table Mountain offers a ton of climbing for the weekend to follow (weather allowing of course). Room and board (at Salsa's B&B) will gladly be provided.

And the "cause" we're seeking to benefit? There isn't one. We're just having fun and since Dave's been nearly immobile for two months now following an ankle replacement surgery, we wanted to get him out and about.

Is there a reason you're having this on a Friday night instead of Saturday night?  I'm sure there are several BAP's that would like to join but have jobs that require us to work 5 days a week (I know, I know, I'm working on it  :P)

Sorry. Here's what I said in an email to Tonya: We tried to set it up for Saturday, but Dave has commitments that he can't miss on Saturday (and we kinda ran out of alternative weekends too).

Dave's slide shows are great and it's fairly easy to persuade him to do one (and he has several different themes he does with different shows - with almost 20,000 slides and over 40 years of climbing, well, you get it).

Maybe we could repeat it on Memorial weekend, shooting for a night when more of us can be there? After all, we do have big, big gatherings then.
