Pinnacles Trash Thread
« on: February 19, 2015, 11:49:53 PM »
There are several threads which have pictures of collected trash in them.  I thought it would be a good idea to create a thread specifically for trash collection pictures.  Post 'em if you got 'em.

Bruce, nice job. Replacing suspect bolts, picking up loads of litter, a great example of climbers as stewards of the Park.

I find litter every trip. Does Pinnacles have more littering going on compared to other Parks/wilderness?

I found an empty box of wine and used contraceptives up the balconies a few years ago. I suppose if you've had that much wine the thought of a tick in your private parts isn't much of a worry. One of the more unfortunate pieces of litter I've ever come across.

Yeah, barf.

I guess though, on the upside, it's good that people that litter like that aren't reproducing.

Nice thread Bruce.

The only thing I would worry about is making sure we are in keeping with NPS guidance on 'old trash' that might involve the antiquities act.

The Facelift has some instructions for Yosemite, maybe we can use that here too?

Oysters?? WTF? "Hey I need to stop in moss landing at phils fish shack before we go to the park...., do you mind?"

The BEST thing I ever found was a CF memory card that I put in Mr Mud's jacket.
That his sister found later on that night. That kept his mom up all night.

Oysters, wine, and contraceptives. Water for hydration. Safe except the possibility of getting Lyme disease.

This establishment was close to where we parked in Victoria, Aug. 2013.

New suspect on the Oysters.....Dodrill!

He lives up near Tomales Bay...

Maybe that's his secret.

I think I'll bring an Abalone shell....
