5.8: Two chickens get their wings

Aw yeah, Cruxluv & I did our first 5.8 leads! Tilting terrace felt very comfortable, after hunting spiders. What's next? Toogs?

Nice job you two!
Toog's Gallery is fun but you might not like the tree climbing on the last pitch - the Direct Finish is good - could be your first 5.9 :)

It was fun watching you guys - if I got some pics I will have John show me how to post them.  I was able to check off a 5.8 today too!  Cool Daze was fun - you guys should do it next time.

And by the way Beanolar, if you really have your wings, isn't the next goal to go flying?

Having made the post at 6pm? I bet you and Cruxluv flew home. When you got wings, who needs to drive!

Congratulations on the milestone, ladies!!!
Inch by inch, I will get there.

Har har har thanks for the tips! Yes, we flew home, and straight to bed. Nearly slept thru today as well. ALL THAT ADRENALINE, I woke up, screaming "OH NO, NOT ANOTHER GIANT FOOT HOLD!! THEY'RE EVERYWHERE!!"

It was strange, I felt shaky on the first lead, one of the Cookie's new flumes routes, and I resigned to just follow, and enjoy just the balance and fun of climbing that I had talked about. But somehow that wasn't enough. And lisa was so happy when she did Hunting spiders, and my brain just clicked and I had to give it a try.

Monkey see, monkey do!

Monkey do more next trip! ;)
