Pinnacles routes have stars?

Well duh!

Pinnacles routes have lots of stars. Stars like mynameismud, Clink, J.C., K.C., Munge, Aaron, Crux, Waldo, mudworm and Nelkins. Famous stars....

Alright, fair warning here - TOTAL THREAD DRIFT COMING:

This isn't worth its own thread but I gotta put it out here somewhere. Did any of you leave a brand new ladder at our house? Seriously!

We've had two wooden ladders at the house forever, one tall and one short. About three days ago Vicki noticed a third ladder in the garage, leaning up against the other two. It's brand new (still has the labels on it), and made of fiberglass maybe (it's not wood). It isn't ours and we've got no idea who it belongs to.

All we can think of is that perhaps a climbing friend bought it and maybe left it in our garage while they were repacking or some such (I'm stretching here, but I have no idea where this thing is from).

Any claims to it?

Yeah, I could see just that. Someone with a truck takes the ladder out to reorganize and forgets it. Weird. And it's no-where near my birthday.

Not much hotter than last weekend.
It's only 96 right now :)

It was the same yesterday and tolerable in the shade - actually quite comfortable until around 2:00 - typically it tends to go from warm to hot in a hurry after that - we take something frozen and just take a break in the shade. Higher up you usually get a nice breeze around that time too.

I also kind of like your strategy of going late and climbing until dark - problem with that for us is we don't climb in the gulch and it's too hot then for a long approach.

I was disturbed when we could see people swimming in the Res yesterday.

I'd take a dip, you have to so you can say you did. But at high water.....that thing at low water looks nasty. The least they could do it put some chlorine in it....

Imagine the thoughts going through the hiker's minds to see some one running down the trail (throwing pack aside) and doing a cannon ball into it.

At least I can say I tried fishing in it when I was young. Oddly, it was when there were fish in it eating the endangered frogs.
So I was validated 20yrs later!

This made me proud today - Kat did a solid lead on the Tunnel Traverse - first lead I know of since I rebolted it :)

This made us feel ill on the way in and the way out absolutely despicable!
Yes all three signs are tagged - even the 146 sign.
Whoever did it should be hung out to dry!
They even tagged a rock on the side of the Inn's driveway and a caution sign on the roadside facing exiting traffic.

Nice lead KC!

Thanks - I almost got drawn in by the bolt on Babies on the Ceiling due to the fact that I was not seeing the bolt overhead right above the headwall.  I enjoyed leading it and knowing the bolts were good made it even better.
