All I managed was to get very dirty and watch Aaron do the work.

What? You didn't create a girlie version to compliment the burly version?

Let's get out soon and work on something - I'll kick back and let you do all the work :)

No idea why this thread title came to mind but I found it and now I have to post. Lord knows there are enough threads on here about rain - so I didn't want to start a new one.
I have been watching the rain levels from this last storm and I was really hoping the gauge would stop at 4.20 dude. It tipped yesterday at 11:30am to 4.19 and then bumped to 4.20 at noon. From that point it took two more hours to spoil my fun. I was still pretty damn impressed - since the reading went from 1.03 at the start to 4.24 at the end - more than 3 inches in 3 days. Should I cross post on the Historic thread?

It's a bit premature but Have Yourself a Muddy Little Christmas!

In keeping with the point of the post, does anybody have a weather link they like for Pinns? Wunderground gives me a close-ish local station...until I try to look at a month long forecast and then it jumps to Monterey. It's hard planning trips a few weeks out, especially this time of year, without a good guess at the potential precip.

This link to weather.gov is usually pretty reliable - note that depending on where you place the cursor on the map it can change the temp / precip predictions a fair bit. I've found this to generally be the most accurate:

All in favor of a new weather-status phone number raise their hands. We'll call it "1-800-Gavin is it Raining?"

The page just displays a large "Yes" or "No".

Gavin is such an accomplished Pinnacles climber he just might be able to tell if someone has been training.

Gavin is training climbers to sit start lead climbs, will this change the ratings? You can spot the trainees by their wet bottoms.

I'm not so sure.

I checked the "Gavin Is I Training" website and it said I couldn't connect.

Maybe it is only for people who wear cardigans or maybe it rejected me for my bad grammar (highly doubtful these days).
