Yeeehaw!!!

It's now rained 1/100th of an inch at Pinnacles. I was going to stay and climb through today, but decided to come home due to the "probability" of rain. I made the right decision. I feel so justified  ;)

Meanwhile, I'm in my office in Sonora right now (yes, I do have a real job). It's snowing huge snowflakes right outside my window.

It's up to 6/100ths!!!

Going home was the right thing to do. I am a genius!

It's up to a tenth now and the high was only 46 at 10:30. It actually got colder as the day wore on.

It picked up again briefly overnight.
Looks like if the forecast holds it might be a bit wet this weekend.

Check out the rain and winds Thursday

Thursday Rain. High near 55. Breezy, with a south wind around 29 mph, with gusts as high as 38 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Thursday Night Showers likely. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 37. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Thursday will be a good day to stay home. Dogs, wife, fires upstairs and down. Work on topos. Make sure work calls and emails are caught up. Drink coffee. Make fun of friends on Mudn'Crud....

Or may I suggest inflatable animal tubing? Or is it inflatable animal riding? Either way...EXSTREAM!

We can pick up the popped remains in the caves at MoM.

Would that count as a first descent?

Well I almost missed the Stevens Canyon Ice season. I will keep checking the flow in case these temps keep cool and enough rain gets the spring flowing.

Last weekend there was not enough water dripping for it to form up all the way.

Now I just need Munge to belay me...
I'm not worthy.

1.19 inches since 5:30 this morning - wow!

Brad - did you guys get over a foot of snow? (I'm too lazy to check)

Looks like they picked a good weekend to have a climbing comp at the gym (Saturday)  :yesnod:

Eight inches of snow by about 10:00 a.m. Then it turned warmer/wetter and essentially stopped accumulating.

Supposed to get up to two more feet over the next 30 or so hours. But hey, at least Joel helped me get the (now fixed) snowblower back up here this afternoon.
