Brad, shout next time if you need one in a pinch. Can't guarantee getting up or down East ave is fun, but its closer than Sonora. At least you get to hang with Joel. :)

Munge, you could do the public a favor and just blow snow until you're up here  ::)

School's canceled today. Tricia gets her fourth three-day weekend in a row (two president's day weekends and two snow-day weekends).

I'm assuming you mean run the blower up the hill to clear a path and not the 'your blowing snow' aka 'lying' meaning. lol

Yes MungeI never told you about finding ice in the canyon. By the road, very thin. I have a picture somewhere of me on it..at night.

I think you would be a swell guy to take your blower over to brads.

I guess I should explain that since you California guys probably didn't grow up around icy and snow covered roads. When I was younger (a rowdy teenager), we used to hide along the side of an icy road at night just before a stop sign. When a car came along (let's change that to vehicle for beano), we would run out, latch onto the bumper and slide along behind it, crouched down on our feet (skeeching). We would hang on until one of several things happened. The car got going faster than we wanted to, we ran out of grip strength, one of our buddies kicked our feet out (rollerball skeeching) or we reached the next intersection. Typically we'd just hang on until reaching the next stop sign and then stealthily drop off and wait for the next vehicle. The drivers usually never knew we were there.

Hard to explain, but there is a limestone
Seep along Stevens canyon. When it’s freezing and rainy...the seep freezes.
Only minor issue, it’s along the side of the road....on a corner.

Ice is ice!!

Stevens Canyon has got it all. MTB, rafting, climbing, hiking, and possibly ice climbing!?  Well, it is on the Peninsula.

The driveway and my car were snow-free at 6:00 last evening. Pretty big snowfall for one night:

^^^

I went out and measured it with a tape measure. That's 15 inches of new snow.

Kinda glad we got the snow-blower back  ;)    I think I'll exercise a bit this morning.

It's all fun and games to them:

Of course with all that snow they swallowed, they'll need to pee every ten minutes for the next four hours.

Cool pics Brad.  That is a lot of snow even for a weekend.

JC we used call that Hickey Bobbing.  Have no idea why.  Sometimes when conditions were right we would do it on country roads that were not paved.  We could go miles, the one issue was the occasional rock that would be sticking up that would take you out.  We started to deploy 40' sections of rope so you could see stuff coming and have time to react.  At least until the driver would get the bright idea to go real fast.  Did quite a bit of this with my cousin.  She was a bit of a girly girl, but a bit nuts as well.  Fun times.  God she could laugh, my antithesis.

Saturday tied my best day of skiing ever. The snow at Kirkwood was bottomless pow and the snow was the lightest / driest snow I have ever experienced in Tahoe. It was truly incredible. Sadly no photos or video. It was too good to stop.

The weekend before during the cold snap the ice was good.... :yesnod:

I am very interested in the Stevens canyon ice....

Also I'm officially insane, because I miss Pinnacles after a couple weekends of being away.

Great skiing at Bear Valley too.   Got in a tiny bit of ice early in the year.  Noting like that picture.  Where was that?
