And so it begins again. March is coming in like a lion and will hopefully fizzle out like a lamb.
Thank you Punxsutawney Phil   :prrr: :out:

Brad, what is the water situation up there?

The rain has been slowly eroding the snow at our house. Masses of rain in some cases.

The rain gauge pushed over 11 inches yesterday.
Pinnacles cannot be considered a desert this year (average rainfall in a desert is 10 inches or less).
There is a winter weather alert for today - snow showers possible.

We finished dinner here and then the power went out.

Two hours off and it's back on. Not bad.

Looking forward to sunshine tomorrow.

Turned the heater off as it was getting too warm.

I know it's a hard life.

We had snow at Pinnacles on Tuesday, as well, with over an inch on the ground up in the High Peaks for a number of hours (and with some snow still on the ground higher at North Chalone Peak). I hiked the High Peaks Trail loop  as clouds were clearing, then the weather changed into a blizzard of flakes near Condor Crag. It's been more than 10 years since I can remember seeing measurable snow accumulate at the park.
